VEB to hold TV show to choose best high-tech startups
MOSCOW, Dec 7 (PRIME) -- Russian state development bank Vnesheconombank (VEB) has initiated a television show to choose the best innovative business projects with judges including Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin, VEB Chairman Sergei Gorkov, and major businessmen, VEB said on Thursday.
The program received more than 500 applications, but only 35 startups made it to the long-list. The first season broadcast will debut on December 12.
The panel will evaluate performance and market prospects of the participants’ ideas during two weeks. Seven projects will be considered at the final show, and three of them will win 25 million rubles, 20 million rubles, and 15 million rubles to develop business.
The participants offered a wide range of ideas and solutions that could be applied in the daily life soon, like portable cinemas and bionic prosthetics.
